On August 17 and 18 2024 the yearly International Lighthouse and Lightship weekend will be held. During this event, radio amateurs from all over the world will activate lighthouses using various ham radio bands.

In this weekend, a group of Dutch radio amateurs will be operating from the direct vicinity of the Honfleur Lighthouse (Phare de Honfleur) in Honfleur, Normandy, France.

The lighthouse is established in 1857 on the ground of an earlier wooden installation from 1806. The light has been active until 1908 when it was replaced by a new lighthouse indicating the western entrance of the harbour of Honfleur.

The lighthouse has the indication FR-0015 (ILLW) and FRA-682 (ARLHS)

The Dutch crew that will activate TM0PDH is:

We will operate mainly on HF using CW, SSB and digimodes. We would like to emphasize that the event is by no means a contest. Our aim is to make fun contacts with any amateur radio station. Quality of the contacts will prevail over quantity.
